Our Mission

The British Music Academy was founded with a simple yet profound mission: to preserve, celebrate, and pass on the incredible musical heritage of Britain to future generations. From the medieval compositions of the Middle Ages to the groundbreaking sounds of modern British artists, we believe this musical legacy deserves to be understood, appreciated, and continued.

We provide comprehensive education that combines historical context with practical musical skills, ensuring our students not only learn to play but truly understand the cultural significance of British music.

British Music History

Our History

Established in 1995 by a group of passionate musicians and music historians, the British Music Academy began as a small conservatory in London. Our founders recognized that while British music had conquered the world, there was no dedicated institution focused specifically on this incredible heritage.

Over the past three decades, we have grown from a modest school with 20 students to a comprehensive academy serving hundreds of students annually. Our graduates have gone on to perform with major orchestras, form successful bands, and become music educators themselves.
